Z Wraps is Acquired by KAF Home

Sustainable home products maker sells business to fabric suppliers, eyes growth with newly expanded partnership.

Easthampton MA, July, 20 2022— Massachusetts based Z Wraps, local makers of eco-friendly and reusable beeswax food wraps, announced today their acquisition by longtime manufacturing partners, KA&F Group, LLC.

KA&F, dba KAF Home, was founded in 1986 and operates as a family-owned producer and distributor of high quality, ethically sourced textiles for the home.

Z Wraps will proudly remain Made in the USA and will continue to manufacture products in Easthampton, Massachusetts, as well as develop into a design lab and skunkworks for next generation products. Order fulfillment will move immediately to KAF’s new headquarters and distribution facility in Frankfort, Indiana, with production capabilities to follow later this year.

“With the support of a strong, family-run company like KAF, I’m so excited that I can focus Z Wraps on expanding not just our brand but also our mission, doing more work to make sustainable home practices easy, beautiful, and attainable.” says Michelle.

Z Wraps was founded in 2017, in Michelle Zimora’s home kitchen. After perfecting her recipe, Michelle found she needed to quickly expand production and moved to the Eastworks building in Easthampton, MA. Her “Z Wraps” are portions of printed cotton fabric coated in a blend of organic beeswax, organic jojoba oil and tree resin. Z Wraps and other beeswax wraps have become an attractive alternative for plastic wrap, bags, and tupperware, due to the growing number of consumers seeking to avoid wasteful and environmentally harmful plastics.

“We are thrilled to be working with Michelle and proud of what she has built in the Z Wraps brand and product line,” shares John Dowker, VP of Operations. “This partnership is strategic for both companies: Z Wraps leverages premier sourcing capabilities and a stronger balance sheet, and while KAF expands its product portfolio while delivering on several key objectives - promoting ethical and environmentally sustainable products, manufacturing and adding value in the USA, and providing top-tier customer satisfaction.”

The Z Wraps product line has recently expanded to include over a dozen designs from 6 women artists; available in 4 sizes and 4multipacks.
